We typically reply within 2 business days.
For the fastest reply, include your iOS version, your VitalBrief version (More tab, About), and a short description of what happened. If a report failed, a diagnostics report from inside the app helps a lot. Instructions are below.
Your Welcome Report is created automatically after onboarding, using up to 12 months of Apple Health data. Weekly and monthly reports are then generated automatically at the end of each period, so you don't need to press anything.
If your Apple Health does not have much recent data, VitalBrief will show a placeholder instead of an inaccurate report. Use your iPhone, Apple Watch, or other tracker that syncs to Apple Health for a few more days, then open the app again and tap Try Again.
If some categories (such as sleep or heart rate) are missing for the period, VitalBrief writes a shorter report based only on what is available and adds a small note. This is intentional. It avoids inventing data.
Activity, workouts, heart rate and HRV, sleep, recovery, and some optional metrics such as body mass, walking steadiness, blood oxygen, and respiratory rate. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.
Open the iOS Settings app, go to Privacy & Security > Health > VitalBrief, and toggle the categories you want to share. The next report will use whatever you allow.
Yes. VitalBrief reads from Apple Health, so any device that syncs there works, including iPhone, Apple Watch, Garmin, Oura Ring, Whoop, Fitbit, and Withings.
All billing is handled by Apple. To cancel, open the iOS Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then VitalBrief, then Cancel Subscription.
Inside the app, open the More tab and tap Restore Purchases. You can also tap Restore on the paywall. Use the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
Subscription state usually updates within seconds. If it does not, pull to refresh on the home screen, fully close and reopen the app, or tap Restore Purchases from the More tab. If you are on TestFlight, sandbox subscriptions renew on a much shorter cycle and can expire within about a week, which is normal.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by VitalBrief. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your reports, profile, preferences, and workout notes are stored on your device. They are not synced to a VitalBrief cloud account, because there is no account system.
Delete the app from your device. That removes the locally stored reports, profile, preferences, and notes. If you also want to cancel the subscription, do that separately through Apple as described above.
Report generation uses encrypted connections, our Cloudflare-hosted proxy, and an external AI service to create your report from the metrics needed for that report. The app does not add your name, email, Apple ID, or device identifier to those requests. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Two common causes: not enough Apple Health data for the period, or a temporary issue reaching the AI service. Try again after a few minutes. If it keeps failing, please email us with the diagnostics report described below.
In the app, open the More tab, tap About, then Diagnostics, then Copy. Paste the result into your email to us. It contains the last 20 internal events (no personal data, no health data content) and helps us understand what happened.
VitalBrief writes about patterns and trends, not strict day-by-day comparisons. If you believe something is significantly off, please send a screenshot of the relevant part of the report along with a diagnostics report.
Check that notifications for VitalBrief are enabled in iOS Settings > Notifications > VitalBrief, and that Focus or Sleep modes are not silencing them. VitalBrief uses local notifications only.
Email vitalbriefapp@gmail.com. We read every message. Including the diagnostics report and your app version helps us reply faster.
VitalBrief is a wellness app. It surfaces patterns and observations from your Apple Health data for general information and is not a substitute for conversations with a qualified healthcare professional.
